Blood Collection

Blood is a unique body component that is available with each one of us but cannot be manufactured or produced artificially. To issue blood to anyone, it has to be collected first and the only source of blood collection is from us humans only.

Most of us are eligible to donate blood and the blood bank is able to issue blood only because thousands have come forward to donate it.

The blood bank collects blood primarily through:

Voluntary blood donation camps that it does either independently or with the support of several organizations and individuals.

Mobile Blood donation camps that it does in its mobile blood donor van, either independently or with the support of several organizations and individuals.

Voluntary blood donors who come at the blood bank to donate blood

Replacement blood donors who donate blood as a replacement to the blood or blood component that they need for any of their known persons.
