The Lions Club of Siliguri Terai was Inaugurated on 06th of March 1990 and granted a full membership charter Certificate on 04th April 1990. It was under the Charter Chairmanship of Lion Ashok Agarwal that the Club was formed and over the past 30 years, it has grown from strength to strength with a present membership of over 90 members.
The Club started its first permanent project as the immunization centre and since then has added up a host of permanent projects such as Immunization centres, Homeo Centres, Eye Checkup, Food Distribution, Oxygen Seva and the Terai Lions Blood Bank.
It has been got exemplary leadership and some exceptional names include Lion Nirmal Gidra, Lion Mahesh Agarwal and Lion Srawan Chowdhary.
The Club continues to grow with the objective to Serve as Lions Meet The Needs Of Local Communities And The World Every Day Because They Share A Core Belief - To Serve Their Community.
